CLA is committed to cultivating a skilled workforce through a development program with the goal of creating opportunities in the communities where we live and work, addressing the decline of accountants entering the profession, and developing a pipeline of diverse candidates.

We are seeking candidates to join our Minneapolis office for an exciting Training program that offers participants the opportunity to pursue a career in accounting through CLA Academy.

About CLA Academy:

• Technical training: We offer a paid 14-week curriculum of accounting principles, recommended practices, and industry-leading software.
• Hands-on experience: Gain invaluable on-the-job training and real-world practical application of learned skills. The program is on-site split time at CLA’s Minneapolis office and the CLA Connection Center at Viking Lakes.
• Accounting software instruction: Learn how to use accounting software and analytics tools.
• Mentorship: Benefit from personalized guidance to accelerate your learning curve and professional growth.
• Career opportunities: Upon successful program completion, you may be offered a full-time position with benefits within CLA’s client accounting and advisory teams.

Who may be interested in applying?

• Individuals who have stopped or dropped out of college or have non-finance degrees
• High school graduates seeking immediate entry into the accounting/finance industry
• Individuals who are interested in transitioning away from a current career path and to the accounting/financial industry
• Recent veterans and veterans’ spouses who are interested in joining the accounting/financial industry

What you will need:

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required

Program Schedule:

• Training begins on July 14, 2025
• Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
• Locations:
  • CLA Minneapolis Office – 220 S 6th St Ste 300, Minneapolis, MN 55402
  • CLA Connection Center – 2685 Vikings Circle, Eagan, MN 55121

The wage range for this position in Minneapolis is: $22 - $25 per hour

Factors such as geography, experience, education, skills, and knowledge may impact position of pay within the range.
