Marcum LLP is seeking a Senior to join our growing and well established national firm in New York. This position requires an experienced Tax professional with strong interpersonal and supervisory skills. The position can be based out of New York, New York or Melville, NY. Our growing Alternative Investment Group practice provides tremendous career opportunities in an environment of the highest ethical standards and professionalism. Responsibilities:

• Preparation of tax returns for private equity and/or hedge fund partnerships.
• Preparation of tax allocations in Excel
• Research tax issues

Qualifications

• Put forth a diligent effort to pass CPA Exam, or have already passed the CPA exam and advance technical knowledge
• Keep current on professional pronouncements
• Maintain annual CPE requirement
• Timely communication to all members of engagement team and appropriate client personnel
• Basic technology skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to meet deadlines with accuracy
• Advanced excel skills
• Professionally hungry with a bright mind and great energy
• BBA/BS/MST in Accounting
• 2 to 3 years of relevant experience
